Al’s passion for hair sparked in her bathroom. They were the person called to make their friends' hair desires come to life with the help of a colour brush and a lot of ambition. Al had a creative mind from the moment she could remember. Growing up with an interest in alternative fashion, she took inspiration from the punk movement to create imaginative colour placements that were often difficult to explain to stylists. It is through these moments shared between friends that Al would find something they loved to do. 

Their career started with an assistant position at Sassoon in 2021. Through this experience, Al garnered a strong foundation in colour theory and precise applications. In the pursuit of gathering knowledge, she worked in a salon while completing her undergraduate degree at TMU.

Though thankful for following through with university, Al knew that their true passion was being behind the chair with hands in hair.

As a new stylist, Al is looking forward to expanding their knowledge through education provided by the excellent stylists Morrison&Co in tandem with the hair stylist program at George Brown college. With two years of colour experience, their goals moving forward are to get more familiar with hair cuts and the artistry behind scissor work. They have a particular interest in learning more about razor cuts.
