At the age of 18yrs, Elio started his hair career as a self- taught barber, in a small town in Cuba; where he was born and raised. Looking for better opportunities, Elio decided to move to Toronto in 2011. After a few years of hard work, Elio made the decision to further his skill set and enroll in the Aveda Institute & Academy. Once Elio completed his education, he worked as a stylist at one of Toronto's most reputable salons on Queen St West.

Elio continued to invest in his passion, and went to New York to train with another world class company to elevate his skill, all the while working full time as a stylist behind the chair. Elio does not only believe that a great haircut is executed by having good technique, but also suitability on his client while maintaining high standards to offer the best result. Elio's ability to work with all hair types and textures builds trust and connection with each and every client.
