Johanna began her career as a “shampoo girl” in a small salon in Hamilton, Ontario. With a desire for the highest education in hair, she moved to Toronto where she graduated from the apprenticeship program with distinction at Vidal Sassoon.

In 2001, she joined Civello Salon and Spa where she became team lead for stylists. Through her experience, she was noted as a master stylist and ran the Civello education program dedicating her talents to new stylists.

Her passion for education drove her to work alongside her position at Civello, as a senior educator for the Aveda Academy.

After 25 years of servicing clients behind the chair, Johanna has shifted her experience to managing the salon. This entails supporting the team, delegating client care and ensuring the success of the salon. 

We believe in Johanna for her determination and resilience when balancing both staff and client needs.
